Charlotte Tilbury is the brand everybody wants a piece of. The hype surrounding her products is nothing short of incredible, and having had the privilege to try so many of them, it’s easy to see why the brand is so popular. If you’re wanting to try the brand, or you’re looking at what your next Charlotte Tilbury purchase is going to be, let me talk you through my top ten products to help you decide…
MATTE REVOLUTION LIPSTICKS
As one of the most iconic lipstick formulas out there, you probably don’t need me to tell you how amazing they are. Despite being matte, they have a softness and natural luminescence which allows your lips to look and feel great. My favourite shades include Very Victoria, Pillow Talk, Supermodel and Cover Star.
Another cult favourite, the creamy K.I.S.S.I.N.G. lipsticks house some of the best nude shades the industry has to offer with Bitch Perfect, Penelope Pink, Nude Kate and Yes Honey. Each and every one of these shades are stunning and can easily be manipulated with different lip liners to create your perfect combination. For me, they’re best applied in tapping motions rather than with a swiping motion. And, of course, gently exfoliate and moisturise your lips before application to achieve the best look and feel.
One of my all-time favourite products – the Airbrush Bronzer is a godsend for people who love natural glam and who struggle with texture, blemishes and hyperpigmentation. Thanks to just how firmly pressed these gorgeous powders are, a more precise and smooth application is possible, preventing any lifting of coverage from foundation and concealer. With it’s smoothness and ability to be built-up, it’s a must have product for everybody’s collection. I wear the shade fair, which is the most perfect bronzer colour for fair skin tones.
BEAUTY LIGHT WAND
If you love highlighter, you probably already own one of CT’s Beauty Light Wands. For me, the shade Spotlight is a product I always come back to. While day-to-day I find powder highlighters to be more convenient, Spotlight is a stunning cream highlighter that doesn’t disturb or break-up my foundation and concealer, and gives the skin a beautiful glow.
Compared to the Hollywood Flawless Filter which is often worn as a highlighter by beauty bloggers and YouTubers, the Beauty Light Wands are slightly thicker in texture and are more metallic in finish. If you’d like to understand the difference between the Beauty Light Wands and the Hollywood Flawless Filter, just keep on reading…
HOLLYWOOD FLAWLESS FILTER
The Hollywood Flawless Filter is a dream for dry skin. As it can be used underneath makeup as a glowy base, or on top of makeup as a beautiful highlighter, its versatility makes it a standout product which so many beauty lovers class as one of their all time favourites. My go-to way to use the Hollywood Flawless Filter is as a highlighter after I’ve done my foundation and concealer to add a dewy yet natural glow to the top of my cheekbones. I wear the shade Fair 1.
Compared to the Beauty Light Wand, the Hollywood Flawless Filter has more of a lotion consistency, making it more dewy than a classic metallic highlighter. If you’re conscious about maintaining as much coverage as possible from your foundation and highlighter, you may prefer the Beauty Light Wand as it isn’t quite as liquidy in formulation. If you’re after the glass skin look, the Hollywood Flawless Filter will be your best friend.
The CT Lip Cheats are amongst some of my favourite lip liners that I have in my collection. With a perfect blend of comfort and lasting power, their performance is almost unbeatable. My favourite shades are Pillow Talk, Iconic Nude, Love Trap and Walk Of No Shame.
FILMSTAR BRONZE & GLOW
This powder bronze and highlight duo is the perfect palette for minimalist makeup lovers. With a neutral bronzer and pale golden highlighter, these soft powders are brilliant for quick and easy application that look really flattering on the skin. If you have particularly dry skin, you may prefer the Airbrush Bronzer and Beauty Light Wand instead, but I do believe you’ll get on well with this duo palette nonetheless.
LEGENDARY LASHES VOL. 2
This mascara is perfect for everyday makeup. Defining, lengthening, and volumising, but natural at the same time. Coming in a deep black shade, it’s very easy to apply and make your lashes look great. If you’re particularly after separation, this mascara isn’t necessary the best for that, however, it’s one of my personal favourites and is my Mum’s go-to mascara.
Let’s be honest, £40 for a four-pan eyeshadow palette is very expensive. However, if you purchase one of these stunning Luxury Palettes, where you love each colour and know you can use each shade equally, it will be an investment worth having. They’re brilliant for quick, simple, but beautiful everyday and evening makeup, and are such a good option for travelling given their dinky size. If you love heavier glam, these probably won’t be for you, but if you’re a more natural makeup lover these are amazing. My favourite Luxury Palettes have to be Exagger-Eyes and Pillow Talk.
AIRBRUSH FLAWLESS FINISH POWDER
The Airbrush Flawless Finish Powder is one of the best setting powders on the market and is brilliant for dry, normal, combination, and oily skin types. Given that it’s a pigmented powder, it lightly adds coverage to your skin, making it a desirable option for people with acne and hyperpigmentation. However, unfortunately, it does contain parabans, which might not be favourable for everybody. Hopefully one day the formula can be made paraban-free. But in the meantime, it’s still one of the best products you can have in your makeup collection.
